Hi,

I've been trying to get an HD 5770 working on my Mac Pro 3,1 with no success.

I have upgraded to Big Sur using the latest OpenCore Patcher.

1) When I boot with just the HD 5770 the screen stays black and the logon screen never appears.

2) When I use the stock video card together with the HD 5770, (with the DVI plugged into the Mac card so I can see what is happening), the computer hangs at the beginning off the Apple progress bar (the Apple appears and the progress bar appears but it freezes at this point with zero progress.).

3) When I use the stock video card (with the DVI plugged into the Mac card so I can see what is happening) in Verbose mode, I get to the point in the attached screenshot and then the computer reboots immediately at this point.

4) When I use the stock video card (with the DVI plugged into the Mac card so I can see what is happening) in Safe mode, I can fully boot the machine but I lose the task bar at the top of the screen. The HD 5770 is identified in System Profiler BUT says "No Kext Loaded" (see second attached screenshot).

5) I've zapped the PRAM and it didn't help. I'm also on the latest Boot Rom.

Can anybody please help me? I know other people have gotten this card working in their Macs.
