It’s hilarious that this is the case, and I’m not sure what’s causing it. My laptop has an AMD Radeon RX 5700M GPU directly connected to my internal EDP display (B173HAN04.4), and has HDMI/DisplayPort outputs directly connected to the AMD GPU which both work with my Asus PB278Q monitor. I currently have my internal iGPU disabled (the iGPU only connects to the thunderbolt output), unfairgva set to 4, and have tried all of the commands in the WhateverGreen DRM FAQ page. On the bright side, this has gotten my software decoding working on all of my internal/external displays! Does anyone know what I could try doing in order to make my internal display play nicely with hardware decoding? Slice
It probably will work in Ventura with the same config.
Fortitude
Hopefully you’re right. I’ll wait for the official release to test this as it’s coming out soon.
