grandosegood Posted September 29, 2022 Share Posted September 29, 2022 hey folks, should i sell my 10900KF and get a 10900K or 10850K so i can pick the more hardware-accurate imac 20,2 or 20,1 system definitions? this will be for a spare travel build or...just use 10900KF with imacpro1,1 or macpro7,1? i feel like it is better to be as accurate as possible for stability (though i have used both imac and mac pro in the past). if so, should i chose imacpro or macpro? etorix Posted September 29, 2022 Share Posted September 29, 2022 This feels like nitpicking… Since you already have the KF and a dGPU, you may as well stick with it. SMBIOS is your choice. iMacPro1,1 may be simpler to set up (no RestrictEvents), and can run Mojave by spoofing the CPU to CoffeeLake. If you do sell your CPU, and do not overclock, forgot the 10900K and go for a 10850K or a 10900 (no 'K'!), whichever is cheaper. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
