cherries
Continuation of those (OpenCore boots straight into Windows) posts (Kernelspace (before installer, after boot picker) errors). All of my specs, folder structure, logs, etc... are in the first post (except for the kexts folder, it was updated in the second post), so go read them first. For the brightness issue, I've tried out BrightnessKeys.kext, but it doesn't seem to work in the installer (some people in the r/Hackintosh Discord server said that I should change my platform-id in DeviceProperties from 0000C087 (recommended value for Kaby Lake-R(efresh) systems/laptops with UHD 620 as an iGPU to 00001659 instead (recommended for UHD 620 NUCs (standalone boxes)) in order to fix the issue). I fear that this may cause my USB to not boot, however, so I'm holding off for now to get more advice. (Note that my device-id is set to 16590000 for spoofing my system.) For the kext issue, I think that HorNDIS.kext (used for USB tethering) is the reason why OpenCore booted into Windows instead of showing the picker before on my system. Can anyone here create a new kext for HorNDIS, or do I have to go with Ethernet?
