Good evening.

So you don't die stupid, what's the point of resetting the NVRAM when installing monterey? Let me explain: I created several EFIs to install Monterey and on an EFI (proposed by Maldon  (EFI Skylake-XW X299) whose SMBIOS I modified. But I ended up with an error and above all I lost the boot of windows 10 in the bios. I had to reinstall windows and a lot of utilities… It's complicated and frustrating. I don't use a mac. So, do we have to reset the NVRAM or can it be avoided ? I understand it also changes the boot order... Thank you for your answers

If it doesn’t boot into Recovery best bet would be to download the OS installer on another Mac and create a bootable drive on an external. Plug that in to the problematic Mac and start it up and hold down the Option key. You can choose the installer from there

I don't understand ! I'm talking about the requirement to initialize NVRAM.

Reset the NVRam doens't hurt 😅

But about the boot order being removed, look at the official OC documentation

At the 11.7.1 ResetNvramEntry - menu 😉

I will look carefully at the information you have given me. Specifically this part of the OpenCore documentation. Thanks again for this.
