Doktor Gummi
A knock-on Optiplex 620 question: I just came across a batch of these machines at a bankruptcy sale: they are almost all Celeron D's. I'm going to throw some Kalyway and other distros at one this afternoon but it's remarkably difficult to figure out what processors will slot in to upgrade the skanky Celeron. I have a funny feeling that a Pentium M with 1MB onboard might go faster than a 3.0GHz with only 128k, but I can't find a usable chart or guide anywhere that says "buy this and get dual-core capability"... Anyone got any suggestions? These machines were so stupidly cheap it would be rude not to make them go a bit faster!
