Well, OS X has been sort of a {censored} to install on my computer. Here's my specs:

Mobo: AsRock ConRoeXFire eSataII

CPU: Intel E6400 (CORE 2 DUO)

HDD: Seagate Baracuda 160GB SATA

Optical Drive: Pioneer 16X DVD BURNER

Video: ATi x1300 PRO PCIE

Per: MS Comfort Optical 6000, Wireless Keyboard (noname brand)

Sound and Network are both on-board

I installed OS X after formatting my harddrive (I'm having endless troubles getting OSX and Vista to cooperate)

First install I used the Mifki kernel... Darwin attempts to load but my computer restarts (AKA CRASH!).

Afterwhich I used the Semthex kernel along with the patches that matches my computer, which gives me more progress. After the Apple logo, it goes straight to a blue screen. So, I restarted in hopes of change, and the blue screen continues to show, but with blotches across the screen.

So, I decided to re-install Vista and come on this board to see if anyone has any solutions (or if anyone had a simular setup). Before I go about formatting my harddrive again, does anyone have any SUGGESTIONS?

I'd partition my drive, but every attempt has been a failure (I've tried using partition magic, Windows Drive manager, Fdisk, XP setup's disk manager, etc etc etc.... OS X's disk utility gives me errors each time I try to format a partition, unless it's a clean harddrive, then it installs no problem.)

Thanks in advanced.

Try running a check disk first to see if your hard drive is having issues, if you've been getting errors from partitioning. Next, use Acronis Disk director, not Partition magic.

Thanks for the links. I did do a search, but I'm more concerned about getting OS X to run than having a dual-boot of OSX/Vista.

That first link is very useful, though, thanks again!

Now onto the real problem :)
