Ever since being upgraded to Monterey, the external monitor could not be detected when connected to the USB-C port. What's the current status? Has anyone made it work?

My system is Dell XPS-15 9560. Has upgraded to 12.3.1, with OpenCore version from 0.6.8 to 0.8.0 now. I tried the USB-C port with or without Thunderbolt disabled.

You're not very specific about your set up. I assume you're using an onboard Thunderbolt port with DP passthrough?

In any case, USB-C on the GPU is perfectly working on Monterey for my system.

Sorry that I was not specific about the machine. It is a Dell XPS 15 560 laptop. It has a USB-C port which supports USB 3.1 Gen 2, DisplayPort 1.2, Thunderbolt 3 and also enables you to connect to an external display using a display adapter. Running on Big Sur, I just connected it to a portal external display, USB-C to USB-C.

On Monterey, the IOReg shows it only has one display device. I could not get back to Big Sur, I guess it must have another display device. Should a display device be manually added to the config.plist? And how?
