Touchscreen not working on Dell Inspiron 5547 with VoodooI2CHID kext on macOS Catalina

Hi, I would like some help from you.

I have the kexts VoodooI2C (version 2.7), VoodooPS2Controller (version 2.1.8) and VoodooI2CHID (version 1.0) installed on my laptop, keyboard and touchpad work normally, but  touchscreen doesn’t, I have no idea why the touchscreen is not working and on what I'm doing wrong, as the kexts seem to be properly installed and touchscreen should work. I use OpenCore as bootloader. I attached my EFI, origin DSDT, IOReg file and boot log from OpenCore so you can take a look.

At VoodooI2C guide, it is written that is not needed to patch DSDT on Haswell systems to use the VoodooI2C kext.

Sorry, I’m a newbie on this.

I appreciate your help and will very grateful if could help me with this issue.

 Thank you

Maybe this helps. It's for a different system but maybe you can extract some useful info from it: https://www.hackintosh-forum.de/forum/thread/45008-anleitung-monterey-big-sur-auf-dell-latitude-e5450-e7450-e7250-e5250-e5550-touch/?postID=644756#post644756

Seems like you have to run the touchscreen as a trackpad and use a combination of various kexts to get it to work.

 Hello 5T33Z0,

Thank you for your help, but unfortunately the touchscreen didn't work with the arguments on the topic you referred, I added them on my config.plist, but no working touchscreen.

 Thanks

I found an OC EFI for your system on github: https://github.com/anhbinhvodanh/Dell-5547-Hackintosh-OpenCore. I updated it, checked it, fixed some config errors and disabled kexts for the 3rd party Broadcom Wifi/BTCard. Acording to this, it's converted from a Clover config, where the "multitouch" is working. I don't know if this reffer to the trackpad or the touchscreen, though.

But might be worth a try: EFI.zip
