Core i5 10400f - MSI MAG Z490 Torpedo MB - GTX670 - I Still can't figure out CSM/UEFI

Hi fellow insaners,

it's been a month now since I shouted 'Hack Down', and 3 motherboards and processors later (Don't ask) I now have a Core i5 10400f (no iGPU) and this may be my nemesis, with a MSI Z490 tomahawk MB.
My bios is asking me to use CSM as there's no iGPU present, and all of the tutorials i've seen use UEFI.

when I'm in CSM, I can get to the open core boot menu, but it only shows Win 11, when i set bios to UEFI, I get stopped by bios saying no iGPU proceed to setup!  or load recommended settings.

Am i doing something stupid? I've seen posts with people using the same processor 10th gen core i5 10400f saying they've been successful? I'm so frustrated.

Thank you so much...... A whole month and it's finally working.

My only current problem is my GTX550, it wouldn't boot with it in so I went back to an old ASRock RX550. Will the GTX work in here, any ideas?

Thank you again, you're a total star

GeForce GTX670 is Kepler and should therefore be supported OOB up to Big sur. With patching in Monterey.

A GTX550 would be Fermi and that's not supported beyond El Capitan/Sierra. You would not be able to use it with any recent macOS version and Comet Lake platforms are only supported from Catalina 10.15.3, so...

Thanks for confirming.... do you perchance how i put this into my config.plist to get my graphics card running?

What do you mean? Put what in your config file? What are you talking about here?

As I said, Kepler cards are supported OOB up to Big Sur and you can forget about using Fermi cards today.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I was looking at the config.plist that was used in the link above that I followed. I installed my GTX670 into the computer after installing Big Sur and it just worked!!! In my previous attempts it just wouldn't boot. So I think i'm solved thanks.
