ovidoi Posted December 24, 2021 Share Posted December 24, 2021 (edited) Hi, finally after 3 days I managed to install Monterey on my Alienware laptop, the bootloader is clover, opencore crashes badly, however I have two problems, the sound does not work with voodoohda, audio device IDT 92HD73C1 (HS, Mojave, Catalina works, I don't know in Big Sur) and the second problem is the video drivers install them in lybrary / extensions and don't load them because they can't load in the kernel cache, can you help me please? How do i install kext in S/L/E, in L/E not make kext cache, i try opencore patcher for install audio and video AMD 6850M but tell me to disable AMFI, how to do? I put in boot args amfi_get_out_of_my_way=1 but cannot patch. Slice Posted January 3, 2022 Share Posted January 3, 2022 About VoodooHDA make sure you follow the instruction How to make it working under Big Sur 11.3+ step by step without "I know better". AMD 6850M will not work in Monterey because it is not metal compatible. You may disable it in BIOS if there is such setting or look for SSDT to disable discrete graphics. ovidoi Posted March 15, 2022 Author Share Posted March 15, 2022 Hello, i'm verry happy, today i download the last opencore legacy patcher tui app and i used to patch Catalina 10.15.7 for acceleration gpu Terrascale2 and is work very well, now i have QE/CI for AMD HD6850M. I tested with Uningine Valley, now i have transparency and blurr desktop and work screensaver, yooohooo.
