spacepilot3000 Posted October 15, 2021 Share Posted October 15, 2021 Hi there, using Monterey Beta 8 with OC 0.7.4 I had no issues running rtl8111.kext in version 2.4.2. After installing the Beta 9 and still under Beta 10 now my card gave up working and says „no media“. I resettet and deleted all preference files and drivers, no change. I rolled back to Beta 8 and then „back back „ to 9 - and I can reproduce this over this version changes. 8 ok - 9/10 not. I tried to select media manually, and my switch reacted on switching from 1000 to 100 and back by changing the LEDs. The driver is loaded, and the whole montery is recognizing everything right - I see no errors in logs. Ifconfig reports „media type“ unknown. Card inactive. I have a Windows dualboot - card is working like charm. Any idea on this?? Thanks!!!! The idea is that the kext will no more work in all next macOS systems. As well as IvyBridge graphics, Nvidia Kepler, Atheros WiFi and many bluetooth adapters. End of life. Did you try my Realtek LAN v3? The link is in signature. Did you try to load the kext into /L/E as I said before? I want to know some answers. If no then it is your choice.
