Hello,

I have a working Big sur Installation on my HP 800 G1 SFF, since my bios can not boot directly from nvme drives, I am currently booting from a sata drive.

The goal is to move my big sur installation to one of my nvme drives.

Currently my drives are three

1- SATA HDD (Big sur is installed here) the EFI partition contains OPENCORE 0.6.5 which sees the other drives thanks to NvmExpressDxe.efi

2- PCIex NVME (windows 10) the EFI partition contains standard windows EFI files

3- PCIex NVME (Big sur cloned with ccc) the EFI partition is cloned from drive 1

Opencore from drive n 1 sees both windows (and boots fine) and the cloned big sur nvme drive, but when I try to boot from this one, I immediately get a black screen.

What should I put inside drive 3 EFI?

I need to boot from the SATA drive, since my bios doesn't see NVME drives..

Thanks

I’m booting form sata drive to nvme SSD too because my bios doesn’t boot directly to nvme drive.
I can boot windows10 and Big Sur. ( i’m using Clover , but OC is the same)

You need to install directly BS on nvme ( sometimes cloning doesn’t work in BS / Monterey)

If you don’t want to boot from sata drive , you can use an USB Booting pen ... as a backup booting option

Cheers
