Hello Everybody,

Greetings,

So i recently and successfully installed Mojave and fixed the Display Resolution as well. Thanks to @5T33Z0.

So now I'm moving on to Install macOS BigSur on my system.

I have tweaked the config.plist to meet BigSur requirements.

It goes past the verbose, a brief Apple logo appears with the loading bar for a brief second and then displays a "No Signal" from my Display. But in the background it is running. (https://youtu.be/PsSLnbISp94)

Could someone please assist in this.

System Specs:

  • MSI Z170A Gaming M5
  • i7 6700k Skylake
  • iGPU HD530

Update:

So I managed to Install BigSur using the Following config.plist values since the display out was really buggy.

After doing so, it would Load all the way till the Login Screen and then just go Blank. "No Display Signal".

@ShanerWarner Pleae don't start new threads for the same EFI. Originally, you wanted to install High SIerra so you could use your GTX 1080 with NVIDIA Webdrivers. The way you wrote it makes it look like I changed the framebuffer patch and made it worse., but I didn't even touch it. The original framebuffer patch from the other thread looks correct to me. The i7 6700k does not support HDMI 2.0. So disable this key.

@5T33Z0 On no, you haven't done anything wrong, please don't get me wrong. it was me who made the changes to the framebuffer to get the resolution fixed.
i started this thread since I'm install BigSur now and didn't want it to be in the Catelina Section.
