Has anyone a SCSI PCI card working under 10.4.8?

Would love to install my old CanoScan FS2710 under OSX with the supplied Adaptec SCSI card recognised under Linux as:

scsi0 : Adaptec AIC7XXX EISA/VLB/PCI SCSI HBA DRIVER, Rev 7.0
	<Adaptec 2902/04/10/15/20C/30C SCSI adapter>
	aic7850: Single Channel A, SCSI Id=7, 3/253 SCBs

 Vendor: CANON Model: IX-27025E Rev: 1.13
 Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02

cheers davorin

no scsi has worked since 10.4.1 as far as I know.. I saw someone talking about porting an adaptec 7xxx series driver a while back, but herd no more.. it's most annoying, as scsi did work very well in 10.4.1, but the source isn't available to get the drivers up to date.

any news about it?

The EFI wiki refers to SCSI as supported hardware but I can't found further information.

I'm trying to use an adaptec 2940 for my agfa film scanner, but it seems to be a hard deal.

An alternative may be scsi<>firewire or scsi<>usb adapters but they are almost discontinued
