Hey

I installed OS X10.4.6 (JaS) in VMWare on my AMD Athlon 64 pc with SATA drives. It all worked fine with the info at InsanalyMac (thanks!)

I used this guide to install it. But then you have to enter some code in the Terminal, and that's where it went wrong...

Right at the beginning you have to enter 'sudo -s', I know what it does (it grants you permission to change some things or something like that) but then it askes you to enter your password. But when I want to type in my password it doesn't react to any key I press in accept for the enter key (because then it goes to the next line and it says something like 'password wrong'). So I can't type in my password and I'm not able to copy files etc.

I hope someone has an answer to this:-)

Thnx

Sorry I wasn't clear enough.

When the Terminal asks to type in your password (after you typed sudo -s) I can't type in my password because the keys of my keyboard don't respond anymore, only the enter-key responds (and of course when I press enter without filling in the password it says "Wrong password")

I hope you understand now?!

I do understand, you do not understand.

While you are typing your password, nothing visible is happening. Nothing appears on screen. The cursor doesn't move. No asterisks or dots appear. But you are typing your password and it is being received. When you press <Enter>, that proves your keyboard is still working.
