Moving from Firefox To... Safari!

Dear friends,

I want do this step too: I'd like to set as default browser Safari. I'm a fan of Firefox, I love it, but I'd like to look for a more "mac-style" approach to web surfing.

With Firefox I am using daily the extensions following and I'm wondering if there are something of = for Safari.

 

- VideoDownloader

Download videos from Youtube, Google, Metacafe, iFilm, Dailymotion, Pornotube... and other 60+ video sites ! And all embedded objects on a webpage (movies, mp3s, flash, quicktime, etc) ! Directly !

Safari can't be easily extended like Firefox can.

 

There is a version of Firefox that has been modded to act a lot like Safari and can accept Firefox extensions and plugins. Called Macfox. Start at the end of this thread and work forward for latest link: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=34289

Yep, I love firefox! and use it as my default brower both in windows and in linux, but in mac os, firefox doesnot support Chinese characters good enough (always show some unrecognized characters) so ... hope such situation would be solved in firefox 3. sigh~

Congratulations on leaving the horrific Mac experience that is Firefox.

 

VideoDownloader--This is a website also, and I have it bookmarked in Safari if I ever need it.

 

ForecastFox--Use the Weather Widget included with OS X. Just hit F12 and the weather is there.

 

As for the others, I'm not sure how to replace them, but there is most likely a workaround
