krassi Vassev
Hi Everyone, I'm new in OSX86 and please excuse myself for m bad English. My fsb is 166 and I'd like to folow this guide to change the value in hex in mach_kernel. "IF YOUR FSB SPEED IS NOT 200MHZ: open mach_kernel with hexeditor (eg. 0xED), go to offset 0x00095df9, find '00 b8 c8 00 00 00 f7' and replace c8 with your FSB speed (hex value)." I don't know what to type instead of "c8". Thanks in advance. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34644-hex-value/ Share on other sites
Rammjet
Applications folder -> Calculator -> View menu -> Programmer -> click DEC button -> type 166 -> click HEX button. But if you are running the newer 8.8.1 (10.4.8) kernel, then typing fsb=166 at boot or putting it into boot.plist under Kernel Flags will work. The newest 8.8.1 kernels will determine fsb automatically and not need any input, Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34644-hex-value/#findComment-245713 Share on other sites
