MangoSalsa
i have acronis, and vmware, then i got the tiger-x86.tar.bz2, and the magic iso for emulating a dvd drive. do all these mix, am i able to use them to safely install osx86 onto my pc laptop? i already made a partion of my drive or partition, its 10GB. i don't know if i can safely put mac there. also, i read about vmware, but mostly they make the virtual machine on vmware. will there be any problems? do i have to do it that way? i heard of the operating systems fighting over the computer. like windows and mac, the systems will both try to become the native ones and might cripple my computer. is it true? how can i prevent this without having to buy another hard drive or burning a dvd? i know, that im a new person or newb or noob as some might call it. i need help though, thanks for any help by the way, cool animated smilies
semthex
First you should read a bit in genius bar on this forum about diffrent install possibilitys. There are serveral ways to install even without burning the DVD but it is advised. In first place I suggest you reading about it and diffrent hardware specifications which need to fit, how to prepair drive, howto use vmware etc. EDIT: and yeah, about NEWER images. mifki
And the tiger.bz2 image is absolute garbage, no apps run on it, use a newer disk (>10.4.4) f you actually want to use os x properly
