CarysWinter 0 Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Hello to everyone, Recently I bought an Intel P4510 2TB SSD, but it is not supported on Macos. I think there are technical errors in them, as far as I have researched, I understood that. I am using Opencore 0.5.6 to dual boot Catalina 10.15.3 and Windows 10 and both systems work fine. Unsupported SSD is the part mainly for storing Windows games. My problem when using Catalina is what I am having. Also what can be done to make the SSD run in Windows? help please
Hervé 2,039 Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 Intel SSDs are renowned to cause all sort of issues. 'been there myself. They're best avoided. You should consider alternative models. https://dortania.github.io/Anti-Hackintosh-Buyers-Guide/Storage.html https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/upgrading-2013-2014-macbook-pro-ssd-to-m-2-nvme.2034976/
HenryV 21 Posted December 2, 2020 Posted December 2, 2020 If you are dual-booting with windows then make sure you hold down the shift key the entire time windows is shutting down or some file systems, such as NTFS, may be read-only after reboot.
