pheobee
I have a Leadtec CMI8738 PCI sound card and installed the Jas MAC OSX 10.4.7 sse2 then pathed jas 10.4.8 sse2 package. I downloaded the driver at http://scifi.pages.at/ffm-2/, the 10.4.8 binary:CMI8738PCIAudioDriver-0.6.4-1048.kext.zip after I ran the install.sh, it didn't work. So I ran: kextload -t /System/Library/Extensions/CMI8738PCIAudioDriver.kext It showes: kextload: extension /System/Library/Extensions/CMI8738PCIAudioDriver.kext appears to be valid 22com_CMI8738AudioEngine is not compatible with its superclass, 13IOAudioEngine superclass changed? kextload: a link/load error occured for kernel extension /System/Library/Extensions/CMI8738PCIAudioDriver.kext load failed for extension /System/Library/Extensions/CMI8738PCIAudioDriver.kext (run kextload with -t for diagnostic output) What's wrong with this? anyone can help me to fix it? derdhal
Try the 10.4.7 driver patch for the Cmi8738. As far as I know the 10.4.8 update does not update the kernel (there is no 10.4.8 updated kernel for sse2 cpu -yet-) so you still have a 10.4.7 kernel. Sorry for my english, hope you understand what I mean.
pheobee
Many thanks! but I cann't find 10.4.7 driver there. only 10.4.1 10.4.3 and 10.4.8 I'll try it latter.
