I try to create bootable usb with " sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Catalina.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --nointeraction --downloadassets --volume /Volumes/USB/" this command. HenryV Posted November 4, 2020 Share Posted November 4, 2020 If you want to play it safe , first make a backup of your current installation to a removable medium. If you have only one hard disk, make a new APFS partition/container and restore 10.13.6 to the new partition/container using disk utility from a bootable macOS installer. Then upgrade the restored copy and you should have the fully functional original to do any tweaking and downloading in case the upgrade is problematic.
