Marky Mark
I think x86 OS X only works on CPU's with SSE2 or SSE3. Get CPU-z and run it to see which one you have.
KellerKind
runs here very well on 1,4 ghz celeron m cpu and 768 mb ram
linux4guru
During the install, you have to use the disk utility to configure the disk first before it shows up on the install screen.
spbcat
You can run osx on 1,5ghz celeron and even 256Mb RAM. (I've tried this as an experiment).
Silthrim
I find that to be the amazing thing... OS X really doesn't require top of the line hardware for its cool features to work like the Genie Effect and the overall Aqua theme.
Vyizis
Moze - You would be best starting your own topic... I have just installed osx 10.4.6 on my laptop Dell inspiron 1200 1.4 Celeron M 512 ram and its perfect!
RiotLuck
Hey sorry to bring an old thread back, but I have a celeron m 1.6 and when I put the dvd in it goes to the grey page with the apple and does all that then after it goes to a blueish page where the language menu should pop up but nothing happens. Yet when I do it on my comp with a P4 3.0 it works perfectly fine. Does the osx x86 .iso have to be sse2 only since thats what the celeron m is? and the p4 is sse2 and 3 so it works. I tried 2 osx .iso one is JaS 10.4.8 and the other is 10.4.4DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso
