jreate Posted November 29, 2006 Share Posted November 29, 2006 Hi, I built my hackintosh using the Asrock 775i 945GZ (it has the built in GMA 950, intel 945gz chipset / ICH7 with ALC888 audio). Processor: P4 3.06 ghz, 512 mb ram I installed using the 10.4.6 JaS DVD thinking it would be the most compatible. Installation went fine then rebooted and went through welcome, once I got to the finder the system was extremely unstable, ie the finder would randomly quit withing some seconds. At least QE / CI was supported out of box but no audio. Has anyone used this board succesfully, any recomendations as far as to which install DVD I should use? or do i need to boot up in safe mode and do some mods... any help appreciated. It installed 10.4.6 and when it comes to reboot. It stopped at the initial Apple boot up screen. Any idea? Thanks! OK - simply disable HT in the Bios and that takes care of problems!! weird.
