voxxdigital Posted November 29, 2006 Share Posted November 29, 2006 Does anyone got the Gigabyte GA-8S661FXM-775 motherboard to work fine with OSX? I have this HP Pavilion Celeron D 3.2GHz with this motherboard running OS X 10.4.7 JaS, but I see that ATA disk access cause the GUI refresh to be choppy. Furthermore, I can't make the onbard (Realtek ALC655) AC97 to work neither the SATA ports are recognized. Anyone got any luck with this (or similar) motherboard? Silvio Posted December 27, 2006 Share Posted December 27, 2006 (edited) I have GA-8S661FXM-775 with P-4 630 (3Ghz, 2MB) CPU. It works ok. You must enable UDMA, (change appleVIAATA.kext: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=35861&hl= ) otherwise it will be very slow. I had no success with the ac'97 and the usb seems slower than it should be. But I am still trying... Good Luck!
