EatingCereal
Hello everyone! I am currently an extreme newbie when it comes to the hackintosh scene and I am looking for some help regarding my refresh rate. I am trying to enable 144hz but for some reason I am unable too. After doing some research I've been told to do things as as go to system preferences < displays and change the refresh rate there, however, there is no option to change my refresh rate. I've also tried using a program called SwitchResX and under the Display < Start up Resolution settings, i changed it too 1920 x 1080 @ 144 but that still didn't do anything. If I enable Windows 10 on my PC, i am able to get 144hz through Nvidia Control panel and I am using a DVI cable to do so. Underneath the Overview section it says I am running macOS Catalina and it recognized my Asus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. Under display it shows the correct graphics card and says I am running at a resolution of 1920 x 1080. Any idea's how I can get 144hz to work? It currently feels like I am running 30hz. My PC specs consist of i7-7700k, GTX 1080Ti, 32GB DDR4 Ram, MSI Z270 Krait Gaming Mobo, 500GB M.2 (This is where my hackintosh is installed), and 1TB SSD (Where my windows 10 is installed)
writerinserepeat
Do a Google search for MacOS Nvidia drivers, and you'll understand the problem. Unfortunately, your Nvidia 1080Ti is not *truly* supported under Catalina. No hardware acceleration or CUDA support, either. It sucks!
