scoutme
Hi all, I absolutely cannot undestand by other posts if 10.4.8 can work on SSE2 only platforms (like may penium m laptop). I don't bother cpu's name detection problems or similar at all. I simply know that 10.4.7 works very well on my laptop, and I'd like to know if also 10.4.8 can do that. Thank you all Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/34310-1048-sse2-only/ Share on other sites
munky
you can update to 10.4.8 for certain parts, excluding the kernel. the new kernels (8.8.1) by semthex and mifki do not yet support SSE2. ghostzapper
Hi, you can update but make an image of your hdd first. I am having some issues like Safari & Dashboard widgets crashing after the update. With an image, you are on the safe side.
