macattackjack
What does it mean when people talk about the refreshed x299 Motherboards? Meaning, the x299 motherboards that previously weren't compatible with the 109xx-CPUs that now have new versions being sold that are compatible with the new cpus? I have a brand new EVGA X299 Micro ATX MB, sitting in the plastic wrap, which is compatible with the 109xx-CPUs, but am unable to find the cpu I want yet, either the i7-9800X, or the i9-9820X. I am leaving towards the i7 9800X. I've seen a few posts from people trying to do builds. Are there any successful ones? Or is this motherboard already bad news? I would be using clover as opposed to open core. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/342988-what-are-the-refreshed-x299-motherboards/ Share on other sites
