Guys,

I'm bit in the dark here.

Have tried many different settings and even OpenCore fantastic trouble shoot guide. I can't get over the black screen.

I have also run the debug version of OpenCore (see here in attached screen) to get more info, but even that is not giving me any indication. There is no failure in the logs as well.

Execution stops at at "25:850 00:040 OC: OcAppleGenericInputKeycodeExit status - Success"

Archive.zip contains my OpenCore files.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your reply,

thing is I cannot see a single thin. OC comes up with option to choose. Once I select to install Mac Catalina from usb drive with OC then I just see white screen. Nothing else.

Waited for about 5 min, Nothing happens.

Nvidia gforce GTX970 not supported in 10.15(max.10.13.6)

I do not understand what the "white screen" means.
Install the system through Clover, then collect "OpenCore EFI"

My sincere apology for this,

Have sold that card 2 years ago. Updated my profile signature

I'm running OC on Gigabyte Z97X.

With OC (your attached) the boot screen is coming up (whitish color of some sort) . I select the drive.

Then then screen is cleared still whitish color, but i don't see any text scrolling. Maybe the color of verbose output is also whitish , but i don't know how to change that.

I waited for 5 min. Expecting to see OS installer coming  up. Nothing.

Thank you for your effort. Any ideas ?

I recommend installing the system through Clover and then booting through OpenCore.
I don’t know what the problem is right now.

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to me and interest in helping.

In the end, and interestingly it was virtualsmc which was not defined in the config but was in drivers.

So , installed from OpenCore and all good.

Maybe you have experienced the following:

With OpenCore running on Z97X gaming 5 and RX 580 and 15.3 sleep is a problem:

The log says :"system sleep prevented by kpmcpuassertion"

Have never seen this before and even google has very little to say about this.

Where do i start ?
