glitchman
Hey all, i was wondering if anyone has gotten PCMCIA to work successfully on 10.4.8 with 8.8.1 kernel. Whenever i add the IOPCCardfamily.kext to the extensions folder and reboot or load it, i get a kernel panic. Please help! thanks http://nick.bounceme.net/pcmcia.jpg
wondergod
usually if you provide the type of pcmcia your referring to it gives others something to work with....however when you just ask "anyone got pcmcia working" it would lead to a simple answer like "yes I have"
glitchman
well, i was asking in general if ANYONE had pcmcia working, because it seems that the problematic kext, iopccardfamily.kext, is the kext that controls pcmcia. If it helps any more, i have a IBM Thinkpad T60, and windows reports it as having a Texas Instruments PCI-1510 CardBus Controller Card. The device ID is AC56, and the Vendor ID is 104C. Thanks!
