sha256
Hello there. I recently installed Catalina and set the iMessage and other services but Sidecar doesn’t work. I don’t have a WiFi/BT card. Catalina can’t detect my iPad in Sidecar section but it does detect it in Finder. I use iMac 18.1 SMBIOS. My current specs: CPU: Core i5 7400 MOBO: Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2H GPU: Intel UHD630 Bootloader: Clover What could cause this problem? You might have a compatible AirPort card with wifi+bluetooth for this (for example BCM94352Z, or BCM94360HMB) OSXLatitude has a good list of supported cards: https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/2120-inventory-of-supportedunsupported-wireless-cards-1-snow-leopard-el-capitan/ (unfortunately the site is down now)
holyfield
I recommend to read more about sidecar requirements: Same iCloud account on each device. Sidecar works with Apple devices that are authenticated with the same Apple ID. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and Handoff must be on Both devices are within 10 meters (30 feet) of each other Instant Hotspot is disabled for the iPad’s cellular connection The Mac isn’t sharing its Internet connection So you need proper hardware and properly configured Hack.
