sWap
Hi. I've installed MacOS tiger. And now there is a problem. I've installed it on one of my SATA HDDs and if there exists any one IDE HDD in my system - everything is ok, if no - "still waiting for root device" What to do? nepali_gurkha
well ask far as i know, i might be wrong. I don't think that SATA works in X86 OSx. I had the same problem recently, and for the IDE put the hard drive with OSX on the like the primary one, or myabe even as master. Seeyou
well ask far as i know, i might be wrong. I don't think that SATA works in X86 OSx. I had the same problem recently, and for the IDE put the hard drive with OSX on the like the primary one, or myabe even as master. I use the Intel 865 PERL motherboard. It has two SATA and two IDE ports. I have 2 SATA hard drives, one on each SATA bus and a Cd recorder on one IDE. XP is on the one drive, OSX on the other. Both SATA. No problems. What kind of SATA controller do you have? is it an Intel or a Silicon Image?
