Solve: Remove graphic card and clean dust.  Insert back in and boom, it's works.

Update screenshot & note as of Oct 18

My spec:

ASUS P8B75-M/CSM
EVGA GeForce GT 740 SC 4GB (Kepler GK107 chip)

Quote

Clover for UEFI booting only

Install Clover in the ESP
UEFI Drivers-->ApfsDriverLoader, AptioMemoryFix, NTFS, and VBoxHfs
EFI\CLOVER\Kext\Other  --> FakeSMC, Lilu, WhateverGreen, RealtekRTL8111, USBInjectAll, and VoodooHDA

Config.plist

KernelAndKextPatches-->check mark on these Apple RTC and AppleIntelCPUPM
SMBIOS--> iMac13,2

Step took one at a time:

EC0 to EC

shikigva=40 and iMac14.2

Remove all above and just use iMac14.2

Remove all above and only use shikigva=40

Clover v2.5k-5096 from CloverHackyColor's github

Reinstall clean macOS but this time used Clover v2.5k-5093 from Dids's github

None work for me

SysInfo show correct drivers but desktop background is weird.  Majority apps works as expected. YouTube video play fine.

If I set display to scale and set one level lower than 1440x900, desktop background is fine but it's not as good as full 1440x900.  For Mojave 10.14.6 and lower, resolution was at full 1440x900.

Please help me.  Thank you

update - solve

Which CPU to you have in that platform? I'm only asking because you said you had selected AICPUPM and KernelPm patches and you should only ever need one or the other: AICPUPM for Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge, KernelPm for Haswell and later.

This being said, it's not something that should affect graphics. Looking at the screenshots you posted, the GT740 is indeed supported OOB since you clearly have graphics acceleration working and I hope 1st gen Kepler such as your GK107 won't be suffering in Catalina like Fermi GF119 cards did in Sierra and beyond: officially supported by the vanilla kexts but poorly and with all sorts of defects...

Kepler 2.0 cards (e.g. GK208/GK208B-based GT710/GT720/GT730) certainly don't appear to suffer from this in Catalina.

SMBIOS iMac13,2 is Ok with an Nvidia card (that's what I use on my old C2D with Kepler 2.0 GT730). Did you update Lilu + WEG to latest versions? Your graphics section should be left empty too.

CPU is Intel Core i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10 GHz 3.30 GHz (Sandy Bridge 32nm), https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/52207/intel-core-i5-2400-processor-6m-cache-up-to-3-40-ghz.html

I will correct my conflg.plist.  Clover default to those PM.

Yes Graphic is left untouched.

Lili + WEG both are latest version from acidanthera's github.

I found this link, https://khronokernel-3.gitbook.io/catalina-gpu-buyers-guide/modern-gpus/nvidia-gpu but not sure (don't understand) if my GT740 is part of the Unsupported GPU

Ok, good.

Your card is supported (you would not have Metal support/graphics acceleration otherwise) but you will have noticed in that very useful article you linked that GK106 models suffer from weaknesses in Apple's Nvidia drivers. That may also effect your GT740. I know you said it was based on GK107 but there are GK106-based GT740 too...

Nvidia GeForce GT700 Series

The article makes one last mention that you could try: boot arg shikigva=40 + SMBIOS iMac14,2. Give that a try (but keep a backup of your current config that you may recall from Clover's main menu, just in case...).

  shikigva=40 boot flag: Swaps boardID to iMac14,2 for better Nvidia Support and whitelists patches

What does the author mean by "and whitelists patches"? Is somethine else I to patch or just "boot arg shikigva=40 + SMBIOS iMac14,2"

I will report back later tonight.  Again, thank you for your fast reply.

@Hervé

sorry for quoting.

I tried all methods one at a time and even did a clean installation again, still no luck. But I noticed on your other post, about changing to EC. I view your kext screenshots and I saw you only had NVDAGK100Hal. Where as mine, I had both NVDAGK and NVDAGF in /S/L/E. Could this cause the conflict since my card could be GK106/107?

The NVCAP string is the same as yours.

@Hervé

Attach include the following:   Hope this see my issues.

iMac.ioreg (untouched)

DSDT.aml (untouched)

Oh, also Apple update 10.15 and now the login screen looks good except the desktop background.

@droples

My board, https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/P8B75MCSM

When you say CSM=Disabled, are you referring to disable in motherboard bios or in Config.plist?  I checked my bios user menu and I don't see Compatibility Support Module (CSM).

This what it has:

2.7.6 UEFI/Legacy Boot/Both
  ---> UEFI Boot

2.7.7 PCI ROM Priority (Not sure what I set)
 [Legacy ROM] Launch Legacy ROM
 [EFI Compatibe ROM] Launch UEFI Compatible ROM

If you refer to Config.plist, is that added to Boot Argument?

FYI

Updated screenshot and edit a few things.  Please see thread #1 for update.

So far still no luck.  Hope someone can guide me.  I tried OpenCore but I'm confused what to do. It's totally different from Clover.  So no success w/OpenCore.

I'm not sure how @droples got GT740 to work but I noticed the ROM version (last 2 digit) is different from mine.  Maybe because the card is 2Gb vs a 4Gb.

I can't find CSM=Disabled in my MB bios or in Clover config.plist.  Or not even sure where to add that in config.plist

@droples, may I see your config.plist.  Thank you

Or maybe it's only work for HDMI instead of DVI? Unfortunately, my monitor do not have HDMI.

I had a hard time getting this my 2 GB Evga 710 card to work with Sierra and High Sierra, and Mojave. For a clean install they worked at low resolution, but to get full compatibility, I can't tell you what I did exactly. I do know that I ended up replacing or adding the nVidia web drivers from this package WebDriver-387.10.10.10.40.118.pkg, and that was part of the process. The WhatEvergreen and lilU were needed as well?

But then I'm on the X79 sabertooth, and that makes a difference of course.

Once I followed the required updates for Mojave to Catalina, it all worked fine.

To prove if this is true about cleaning and inserting the card. I did a clean installation and nope the theory was wrong. The background still split in half. I think it might hardware issue itself either the dvi cable or the monitor.

This is strange, if I change to plain background, desktop background is good. Any other background I used will cause issue as mentioned.
