Hello all. I have the Marklar-Tiger image and used UltraISO to convert it form a .dmg to a .iso format. I also burnt it to a DVD+RW.,

How can I install it onto a separate partition? I have VMWare Workstation 5.0, a Knoppix live dvd, 2 partitions, (130gb windows, [please leave this untouched if possible]), and a 20gb unformatted partition I plan to install OS X Tiger onto.

Whenever I use VMWare to install it onto the partition, I always get this:

macieibntbt1ea.jpg

This also happens when I reboot the actual pc with the DVD in the drive.

Is there a way I can install OS X x86 by using this image? Or must I obtain the Deadmoo image?

I tried the -x command, it comes with an error screen and tells me to reboot.

Usually you would need at least the release1 patched Maklar-Tiger image, you weren't specific about that. Plus the Maxxus 0.5c patch would help too.

Of course

 It always helps to have more detailed system setup info if you are asking for help; instead of having readers looking up or guessing the details of your PC:)

I've got a 3GHz P4 HT, 512 mb RAM, hp a650y customized desktop. DVD-RW/CD-RW combo, then a second DVD-ROM.

Where do I get the release 1 patch?

Get the patch at your favorite torrent site...

Try booting with -v, or maybe something like rd=disk0s1 -x -s -v. It will probably help you find out what's going wrong. You just take the last line of text that appears on the screen and post it here, people will be more able to help you that way.
