frnic
There is a new option in Preferences->Security & Privacy ->Files and Folders (new to me at least). I need to give a couple background apps I run permission to access a drive that they can not access now, and it would appear what I need to to add them to this group and somehow set which folders/files they have access too. A few of my programs are already in there (I don't know how) like Plex Media Server which is set to access Network volumes. Suggestions on how to set these? TIA Frank EDIT: BTW, I already have the volume I want to give my processes access to set to everyone has full control - no joy. It worked in Mojave, so I am thinking this is new for Catalina Edited June 10, 2019 by frnic
frnic
Turns out this is an addition to Security, and I have not found anyway to add apps to the Files and Folders list. It appears to be working for now by using the "Entire HD" option.
