jubei
I have installed Mojave 10.14.5 on: ASUS ROG Z370-F 8700K Coffee Lake 970 EVO Plus M.2 NVME (latest firmware) 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 XMP 2.0 (sitting in Dimm A1 and A2). NVIDIA Quadro K5000 (supported by Mojave) BCM943602CS Combo Card For Hackintosh ABWB 802.11AC WI-FI With Bluetooth 4.0 PCI-E (worked out of the box) I have an external audio interface so I used only: FakeSMC + Plugins + HWMonitor Application IntelMausiEthernet v2.4.0 Clover UEFI Boot Mode + Emulated NVRAM set the machine as iMac 14,2 Everything works including iMessage and wifi etc. However, the system is a rather sluggish and it's most noticeable when i try to open a new tab on the browser. Some people have reported problems with the Samsung EVO 970 Plus but the NVME is only a recent addition. The system was equally sluggish with an earlier Hard Disk and SSD. Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot it? jubei
Hervé thank you for offering to help. I really appreciate it. Despite changing to the iMac19,2 the poor performance persists. HWMonitor is showing everything normal. I have attached my config.plist for you. Many thanks in advance! jubei
Super thanks for the support @Hervé!! Much appreciated. I have attached my clover .zip. I'll google the "PluginType" ACPI thingie later tonight and try to add it. I'll report back when I have. jubei_clover.zip EDIT: @Hervé I have checked "PluginType" under ACPI but that made no difference. EDIT2: The problem is now solved by installing Lilu and WhateverGreen correctly based on this Guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/an-idiots-guide-to-lilu-and-its-plug-ins.260063/ Edited June 8, 2019 by jubei Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339065-solved-z-370f-coffee-lake-8700k-16gb-corsair-slow/#findComment-2676674 Share on other sites
