vandroiy2012 Posted January 17, 2019 Share Posted January 17, 2019 Hardware acceleration didn't work without IGPU on Polaris cards. Read WhateverGreen.kext FAQ for details. There is no solution. Quote How do I use my IGPU? In most cases IGPU should be used for hardware video decoding (with a connector-less frame). In case you need extra screens, IGPU may be fully enabled. You should not use -radlogo boot argument with IntelGraphicsFixup. How do I get hardware video decoding to work? Generally hardware video decoding is performed by an IGPU, and thus you are required to inject a connector-less frame. For some GPUs (e.g. HD 7870, HD 6670, HD 7970) it is still possible to get AMD hardware video decoding to work. Please refer to Shiki's FAQ for further details. You may need shikigva=1 on mac models that have forceOfflineRenderer on. CMMChris Posted January 20, 2019 Share Posted January 20, 2019 Hardware Encoder of RX 4xx and 5xx card is not supported on macOS. You always need to use Quick Sync (IGPU) with those cards.
