I tried running your app several times. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the ioreg part, but it just gets stuck in that same loop over and over again. Even tried on a brand new clean install of Mojave. After the password, I don't touch the mouse and wait. Always fails. I also had USBXHCI_FL1009.kext in S/L/E - should I remove that? I tried removing it, but then I lost USB 2 & 3 in several ports, in addition to the PCI card.
