I´ve just installed Jas 10.4.8 on my PC.

The installation was ok, but my usb ports doesn´t work! I tried all ports and nothing.

I´m using a Logitech usb mouse.

Can someone help me? Usb ports worked in 10.4.6.

Thanks!

Use Pion's DS3/4 Pack. There are many fixes you can apply - including networking, USB, and sound...

The link you provide doesn't work. Could you repost your link.

Thanks in advance.

I see requests for the IOSUBFamily.kext in this thread and there have been others by PM.

Sorry, but that turns into a LOT of work to extract, zip and e-mail them. Ginda like giving people a fish - they eat today and are starving again tomorrow - better to teach them to fish.

To become self supporting:

0) In a terminal window enter:

sudo -s
cd /System/Library/
cp -R Extensions ./Extensions-back
rm Extensions.mkext Extehsions.kextcache

1) search for, download and install pacifist

2) go to the Apple web site at:
and download the delta update for the release you need - in this case 10.4.7 - I think

3) launch pacifist

4) mount the disk image downlaoded from Apple

5) drag the install package onto pacifist

6) scan down the list of package items displayed by pacifist to System/Library/Extensions/IOUSBFamily.kext

7) highlight the extension you want and then select install

8) when pacifist is finished - return to the terminal window and enter:

chown -R root:wheel Extensions
chmod -R 755 Extensions

This process should help you for any extensions / frameworks/ etc.. that you need to back-level to get your system functioning.

I hope it helps.
