AbhilashSathe
My laptop speakers work fine. However, when I insert my headphones, I get a strange loud buzzing sound. How can I fix it? I'm using AppleALC.kext inside clover and my layout ID is 3. AbhilashSathe
Ok, I kind of managed to fix this issue by not specifying layout-id under audio properties inside clover. This was the traditional method that was used along with a patched AppleHDA kext. Now, if you are using AppleALC, then you need to specify a boot flag called alcid=your_layout_id. So mine is 3, hence, I mentioned alcid=3. Now, there is a slightly different issue. Headphones are working fine and buzzing sound is gone. However, the sound through headphones sounds like an echo with a suppressed sound. Will try to figure out this issue.
