Linnar8895
I have managed to get the High Sierra installer running on my laptop, a Xiaomi Air 13 (2016). However, I can't get further than this, since High Sierra requires an internet connection to install and the internal Intel WiFi is unsupported. To solve this, I would like to use a USB WiFi adapter. The one I have is a generic one based on the RT5730 chipset, which I installed these drivers for (to the Install MacOS High Sierra USB). The RT5730 is now recognized in Network Utility, and it's LED light up as it should. However, I cannot figure out how to actually connect to a network. I suspect I'm supposed to do this through the Preference Pane that came with the driver, but how would I access this from within the installer? Are there command-line tools I can use for this? Can I bypass the "Recovery Server could not be contacted" error somehow and go through the install process without an internet connection? Any help appreciated. Thanks!
