Jean-Christophe
Hello gentlemen, I was wondering if it could be "easy" to install OSX on my hardware and have most peripherals working. Here is my config. Mobo is MSI K8T Master 2-FAR dual Opteron 2.2 GHz (SSE2) Graphic cards are ATI X1600 (agp), supporting two monitors and ATI X1300(pci) supporting one more monitor. Network is Broadcom gigabit. Sound is VIA AC'97 IDE and SATA hard disk My questions are 1. Is there a way to use both CPU? 2. Is there a way to use both graphic cards? I read somewhere it is possible to use ATI Radeon X1600 in dual monitor mode. My question is related to using two graphic cards is the same time. I know it works with Linux and Vista. 3. Should I expect having any other problem? 4. If 1 and 2 are OK, what image name should I need? I was used to install OSX on a PC a few month ago. My laptop was stolen and I left the idea in a corner. Now, I come back to this world, but I lost all my small knowledge. Thanks for your help PS : Sorry for my bad English, it is my third language

Prasys
1. Is there a way to use both CPU? oui/Yes [at least for the older ones. It should work , if it does not , then you have to use 1] 2. Is there a way to use both graphic cards? I read somewhere it is possible to use ATI Radeon X1600 in dual monitor mode. My question is related to using two graphic cards is the same time. I know it works with Linux and Vista. No idea 3. Should I expect having any other problem? SATA maybe...the drives , ACPI , might be few hiccups here and there.... 4. If 1 and 2 are OK, what image name should I need? I was used to install OSX on a PC a few month ago. My laptop was stolen and I left the idea in a corner MacOS X 10.4.7 JAS AMD/Intel would do fine. If you coulg get OSX 10.4.6 it would be fine as well
Jean-Christophe
Thanks for your answer! I don't know why, but I had in mind that "MacOS X 10.4.7 JAS AMD/Intel" was for SSE3 only CPU. Did I made a dream about it?
