ergot
Hello, my current build now is 10.13.4 but the same problem happened on 10.13.3 as well, sometimes when I work with AE+Mocha I have sudden restarts which I can point exactly what or which HW causing this, I increased my RAM to 48GB and optimized AE and Mocha. Even on a simple mask with Keylight system crashed and restarted...could it be my CPU?GPU? where I can see crash logs on OSX? Guest
could you post a Ae scene which fails in your system? Thank you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/333659-sudden-pc-restart-when-working-with-ae/#findComment-2607680 Share on other sites
ergot
HI Fabiosun, I have found the problem (hope so, so far no system restarts even when load heavy projects), in Application folder under utilities you have "Adobe Application Manager" folder, in sub folder IPC there is this file that always run in the background and causing failures (saw it in the logs), the file name is "AdobeIPCBroker" So instead of deleting this file I deleted the folder Adobe Application manager So far so good. thanks!!! ergot
Well my celebration was to early, at first the restart came back so I thought about APFS issue then I clone my SSD to another one using previous FS, it holds longer but still had restarts... I suspect the CPU and CPU patches / DSDT...I will try to play with that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/333659-sudden-pc-restart-when-working-with-ae/#findComment-2608040 Share on other sites

sailor25462
Not sure if it helps, but actually I have gone through a similar odyssey with a „new“ mobo, which crashed (under win) with one (!) specific game only. Took us months of trying, replacing parts, etc. At the end it turned out it was the PSU!After I had it replaced I had no crashes anymore. Just an idea....Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/333659-sudden-pc-restart-when-working-with-ae/#findComment-2608842 Share on other sites
ergot
thanks sailor25462 I have found the problem and it was Nvidia web drivers, when using stock Apple drivers I have no problems. But now I am missing CUDA... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/333659-sudden-pc-restart-when-working-with-ae/#findComment-2608878 Share on other sites
ergot
Continuing investigation...After installing a fresh 10.13.4 and AE with WebDrivers the system still restart when using OpenGL (probably). Other members don't report of any problems with the web drivers...could it be my GPU? My GPU installed on the 2nd PCI-e which I don't think could make any different....is it? this drive me crazy...with Apple drivers I don't have any acceleration because CUDA is not detected... will love to hear more ideas on a fix...
