There is no official support for nvidia yet but there is some unsupported drivers. The eGPU is designed to work on TB3 connection at 40gbs and not USB3.1 10gbs. Also keep in mind that an eGPU is only going to give about 3/4 the performance of the card it's using compared to it being connected internally to a full ePCI connection.

I am planning to have eGPU as a second GPU for video processing if it can boost a little it will be great, after replacing my GTX 760 to probably GTX 1080 I'm sure I can take some advantage of the 760...
