ooZberg
I recently installed a clean 10.4.8 install with semthex kernel. Everything seams to work just fine , but I can't get my on board audio to work . Using: AMD SSE3 Cpu DFI Lanparty NF4 - On board ALC850 Audio. The sound worked great under 10.4.8 with 8.1 kernel, and I tried to use the AppleAC97 extension from this install, but with no success Anyone else having this problem? hotdog963al
I get this problem as well. REALLY want to fix it as well since my main use for Mac OS X is garageband and the audio-related iLife tools. spikeh
Strange, I have a nForce 4 SLI chipset with integrated ALC850 and just installed 10.4.8 AMD SSE3 today. Although System Profiler said I did not have any sound devices, I was listening to music through iTunes without any issues. I've had to re-install to try and fix Callisto and CI/QE, so I shall report back later.
