Scorpio123
Hi there, i have the JaS 10.4.6 image installed on my PC. Its working fine, except for one problem.. I tried installing the JaS 10.4.8 SSE2 only update.pkg and the installation hung at 29%. Not only, the entire OS hung at that moment, and wen i rebooted, my OSX had completely crashed at startup (It had the "Starting OS X" screen after the grey Apple introduction, but just hung there). I had to go through the entire OS X installation process again, and im scared i'll mess it up again!! Any ideas wat might be causing this? Another small problem to do with changing OSes.. Im using Acronis OS Selector to switch between XP and OS X, it works fine.. Thing is, is there a bootloader out there that gives me the OS choice wen i hibernate XP? I dont want to keep having to reboot XP (coz it takes a while..) just to change OS each time. I had already done this successfully with the GRUB GUI provided wen i dual-booted XP and SUSE Linux 10.1 a while ago.. But im not sure how to install something similar for OS X and XP... Please help!! Thanks!
semthex
What'S about the bootloader included? Don't like it? Maybe you need to add tiemout to see it but there is one. Acronis sucks imo aso I would suggest you to use this one.
Scorpio123
If i use the Windows generic Bootloader, i get an error when booting into XP.. Plus, it would still boot straight into windows if i hibernated it...
mac.nub
I can't guarantee it will work, as I have SSE3 and therefore used the SSE3 update instead of the SSE2 one, however try follow steps 5 to 10 on my tutorial here, it will hopefully solve your problem. Good Luck! As for the bootloader, set the XP Partition as active, and use the default one, then the chain0 method to boot in to Mac.
