NateS Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 I ruined a good working 10.4.7, tried todo a clean install and now this, what the hell, uber angry any help would be great. system specs toshiba satellite intel core duo 2gb ram 200gb hhd 945 chipset 7900 512 nivida card sse3 supported only things that didnt work with 10.4.6/7 was sound/networking thanks guys Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PolishOX Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 I also have a Toshiba Laptop and attempted to do exactly as the man above... NO bios changes would fix these errors. In about 12 hours, I'll be working with prasys to test his manual upgrade method on my laptop. Toshibas that are core duo really hate the latest JaS dvd and for that I hate my toshiba core duo! wondergod Posted November 15, 2006 Share Posted November 15, 2006 boot into single user mode... right before the Darwin screen shows up hit the F8 key, so you can enter boot options enter the boot options -s -v then when you get to the prompt type /sbin/fsck -fy /sbin/mount -uw / cd / mkdir /backup/ cp -R /System/Library/Extenstions/IOPCCardFamily.kext /backup/ rm -rf IOPCCardFamily.kext rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.mkext rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache then reboot Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
