Sigmatel High Definition Audio Codecs - Quick Question

Hey All,

 

I tried following the guide here to try to get my sound card (Sigmatel High Definition Audio Codecs) working.

 

After rebooting I have a sound symbol in the top menu/taskbar and I can press the volume up/down buttons on my laptop and it will show a graphical representation of the volume going up/down.

 

However, although in System Preferences > Audio it shows as having "HD Audio Output" as the sound card, no sound is actually played, no matter what the volume.

 

Has anyone had any success installing this card? (Note: I am using Mac OS X 10.4.7 JaS ISO repack)

If so could someone please explain what I did wrong?

 

I changed the first string to "0x83847690" and the second to "0x27d88086".
