CuriousTommy Posted January 6, 2018 Share Posted January 6, 2018 I know with the Ryzen processor, you don't even need a custom kernel since the VM is mimicking an Intel processor. I am not sure if the same is true for FX though. darku Posted January 29, 2018 Share Posted January 29, 2018 AMD FX-8350 is known to work but older AMD processors do not work without a patched kernel. See "create_install_iso.sh" from https://github.com/kholia/OSX-KVM to understand how to generate ISO images with custom kernels and pre-included kexts.
