cadash
Hi guys, I have been successfully using OS X with a couple of H67N-USB-B3 motherboards I have from Gigabyte along with different setups of video cards and CPUs. Everything works out of the box though the HD2500 video isn't fully working but I always use it with an external graphics card so no issues there. However, I have never been able to get the system to recognize the USB3 ports. From time to time I tend to backup important data in external hard drives and there is a lot of difference in speed between USB 2 and 3. I have searched all over the internet but the only solutions I could find were meant for Kaby Lake processors. Below is the link for the motherboard, Bios revision is F9 https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-H67N-USB3-B3-rev-10#ov Ideas? Any info is highly appreciated. cadash
I tried both placing it in Clover and copying it to SLE and reloading the kernel cache however it didn't work. Before trying this I tried using an unsupported installer which didn't work either. Is this affecting somehow the rehabman kext? I was thinking of doing a fresh install, will this help? cadash
Hi, no, the product page says it uses Renesas(NEC) USB 3.0 Driver Doing some research I read that H67 has no native USB3 driver and uses the NEC driver but haven't been able to find the exact chip being used yet. I am dowlnoading the Windows drivers and will see if I can get some info out of it. Also doing some research on NEC USB3 and OS X Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/330172-getting-usb3-to-work/#findComment-2545321 Share on other sites
